While doing research for my comic, I came across something that really shocked me about Miyazaki and the works he has been involved with. It was pretty well known the Miyazaki has been part of the making of the Lupin III series, but discovering what he did under his alias was even more of a surprise.
Hayao Miyazaki worked on Space Adventure Cobra - The Movie!
I'm personally a big fan of Lupin III and when I got into Cobra, it was a perfect fit. There was that same energy of someone who was goofy but also at their core had good intent. To learn Miyazaki was part of this production seemed uncharacteristic, but at the same time made sense considering work was SLOW for him back in the early 80s. I still want to find some more sources that can confirm his involvement because it seems to be something that is too well hidden that maybe he didn't initially want the recognition.
So with that all said, should Space Adventure Cobra - The Movie be included on Miyazaki's page?
I think it's important to be as honest about the works of anyone so as to not paint a bias picture of someone to fit a particular narrative. I think it's absolutely fantastic that Miyazaki has so much dynamic to not only what he worked on but who he was as a person. Again, I want to be sure that if at all possible to find more things to site this work he did for Cobra, but curious what others thought as well.

Always thought Haku and Chihiro would kiss in the end...
I tried bringing these up in comments but they went unnoticed so, I will try here instead.
I have noticed some things about some particular characters in the Ghibli films I enjoy most. And I wonder if anyone else noticed.
The Mama Aiuto Gang Boss: His appearance and the English voice Garrett did, reminds be of Bluto from the Popeye cartoons (the Fleischer ones).
Kamaji: His English voice actor David Ogden Stiers made him sound a bit like George C. Scott.
The head of the Japanese school board in From Up on Poppy Hill: I thought looked somewhat and sounded in the English dub like Ed Asner, In fact, until I read the credits and watched the "Behind the Microphone" featurette, I was almost certain it was him and was a bit disappointed that it wasn't. Rest his soul, by the way.
Did she remember Earth? because she cried while looking at the earth, but the robe she had put on her made her forget.
Still couldnt move on from Spirited Away. The first time i've watched Ghibli Movies and I enjoyed it very much. But Spirited Away is the one that gives most impact. It gives us a full world of spirits throughout the movie, but suddenly after Chihiro left it leaves us with an image that there's no other world because the entire movie we're almost fully focused with this spirit world. It's like your whole world been taken away from you and there's no guarantee we can see the world again in other animation.
Im Studio ghibli fan
My Favorite movies are : Ponyo Kiki's delivery service and ocean Wive
Your all happy to see me
Nice to meet ya'a!!!
The wording is awkward at times and the annotations contain German words but clicking them doesn't do anything as there is no references section in the English version. The most commonly used name in the page for volucite/aetherium is holocite which seems to be the German name for it and the presumably typo'd ''volculite'' appears twice.
I am not an admin, so this is just me suggesting changes.
It has been a while since I have last been here, Now I see how much better this wiki has become, everything seems way smoother, and more well presented, but I think there are still important changes to be made.
Pages on major characters like Chihiro don't even have history segments, when pages about side characters like Lin have expansive and long history segments. (From the pages I've seen lately Lin might be the best page.) So I think it's important that we as a community make big important changes on certain pages, and first prioritizing pages on main characters, from what I remember Porco's page barely had any substance. So thanks for coming to my TED talk, I am 100% down and ready to help out with pages if anyone wants help.
I think it is important that arguably the best animation studio we as humans have ever seen has a great wiki that accurately documents the history of the films and characters in them.
I'm really hoping this gets a good community reaction because I have tried to helped to make a big change for pages on the wiki before and it got virtually no reaction, so let's hope folks.
