With the research I've been doing lately, I've been trying to find more accurate photos of Yutaka Fujioka, Osamu Kameyama, Yutaka Wada, Hideo Ogata, and many others. Though I've been searching high and low online for any information on these people, coming up with conflicting information that doesn't seem to match up.
To be frank, I'm not sure there are any accurate photos of these people online. Case in point is that the article here on Hideo Ogata actually uses a photo of Yûji Nunokawa, who has in fact worked in anime but is not Hideo Ogata.
I'm not sure if it was just a common thing for no photos to ever be taken, or maybe that many of the photos of certain people will never be identified even though photos may exist.
There are a few photos featured The Kingdom of Dreams and Madness, talking about Suzuki's experience as an editor. I suspect that it's possible, if this is Tokuma Shoten that one of these people next to Suzuki may in fact be Ogata or one of the other main contributors to helping Miyazaki realize his dreams as a mangaka and animator of his own original works.
With the recent Animage exhibit, it would have been nice if Suzuki, Animage, or even Nozomu Takahashi would have provided more information about these people and photos of them. I may be in the minority, but I actually would like to know who these people were and have a face to match, the correct face. Otherwise it's just a name, and I rather not put a name tag over a manikin if I'm trying to draw these people.
Hopefully someone will find the right photos sooner than later.
