Daiō-Yanma

Daiō-Yanma (大王ヤンマ, lit. "great king hawkers"), also known as Royal Yanma, is a type of bug inhabiting the Toxic Jungle in the film Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind and in the manga of the same name. They have four dragonfly-like wings and mandibles and can get up to 2 meters long. They serve as sentinels of the forest.^{^[1]}

It quickly reacts to events happening in the Toxic Jungle and calls other insects, hence being called the "Watcher of the Forest": The Pejitei Brig was attacked by Royal Yanma ^{^[2]}, along with Landgrubs and Wing-worms.
