Fire wands [1] are flamethrowers used by the people of the Valley of the Wind to destroy spores from the Toxic Jungle.
The Valley folk used them to cleanse the field that the Torumekian Armored Corvette landed in [2] then searched out and destroyed any spores that were spread.
