The Irontown Guards (石火矢衆, Ishibiya-Shū, lit. "rock-fire arrow people", means "cannon guys") were the guards of Irontown in Princess Mononoke.
There are two types of guards. The first kind wear orange clothing with white headdresses. They also wear straw hats and capes on rainy days. Their clothing marks them as mercenaries with firearms. They are first seen escorting bullocks transporting food and ore to Irontown.
He is an assassin.
The second kind wear dark clothing like assassins of the Muromachi period. The dark guards are mostly seen inside the Irontown protecting the iron melt. They are armed with firearms and swords (mostly Katana). The first one is seen alongside Gonza.
