History
The Kodama have been living in the forest before the start of the movie. They appeared when Ashitaka was helping Kohroku and an injured man and helped them get back home. They later reappear when San was bringing Ashitaka to the Forest Spirit to help his gun wound, watching from the trees and ground. After Eboshi cuts off the Spirit's head, the Kodama start dying along with the forest. After the land is healed, one Kodama appeares, showing viewers that the forest is growing back and promising new life
