Koganei Maru

Koganei Maru is the ship where Kōichi (Sōsuke's father) works. He is the captain on it. The ship is seen in the film Ponyo directed by Hayao Miyazaki of Studio Ghibli. The ship is equipped with spotlights, the only way to talk to Kōichi's wife, Lisa, and his son, Sōsuke.

The crew has to stay firm because they get into a tsunami that suddenly appeared. They also clash into a graveyard of ships. Lucky, Granmamare came by and save them. At the end of the film, they come home well and sound.
