Hi! I am not sure how to go about starting this discussion.
I may be a little late to the party with this, but in Japan there is a graduation song called “glow of the Fireflies” that is sung to the tune of “auld Lang syne” it’s very much about goodbyes, and is optimistic when sung in schools on graduation, but if I take my knowledge of the movie and interpret the lyrics it made me cry. I’m sure this is a fairly obvious observation, especially for anyone in Japan. (I am not). I tried to google this to find some discussion about it. I was wondering if I am wrong to associate the two? It wasn’t mentioned on the wiki, so I wondered if it is maybe unrelated?
I think having a shorter name and URL will benefit the wiki in the long term, as they easier to remember
The museum dedicated to Ghibli films is called "Ghibli Museum", not "Studio Ghibli Museum", I think we should follow this naming convention
Similarly, the wiki dedicated to Disney films is called the "Disney Wiki" not "The Walt Disney Company Wiki" or "Walt Disney Studios Wiki", I consider the "Studio" part of the name indicating the type of the entity rather an actual part of the name
Sorry for not asking for your opinion before making the changes
I had emailed staff for a merger for t he spirited away wiki, although i'm wondering, was there any particular reason to mass delete the comments? I was thinking those comments would get deleted anyways in the merger, but... was curious for the effort in deleting them all?
