Mrs. Kadoya is the mother of Nobuko Kadoya.

History[]

She is first seen when Setsu Oiwa and Anna deliver some lanterns Mrs. Kadoya asked her husband to make and upon meeting Anna Mrs. Kadoya and Setsu agree that Anna and Mrs. Kadoya's daughter, Nobuko should go to the Tanabata Fastival together.

However, when Nobuko comes home crying because Anna called her a "fat pig", Mrs. Kadoya is furious and marches towards the Oiwa residence to tell them what Anna did and also claims that Anna threatened her daughter with a blade, which is not true at all and accuses Anna of being a bad influence when the Oiwas tell her that she is not in the house (unaware that Anna was hiding a wall and hearing the whole thing) before storming off.

Mrs. Kadoya is last seen walking with her daughter when Anna runs up to them and apologizes to Nobuko for insulting her. When Nobuko walks away, Mrs. Kadoya bows to Yoriko Sasaki, who does the same, before following Nobuko.

Appearance[]

Personality[]

At first she is nice to both Setsu and Anna but upon finding out that Anna insulted her daughter's weight (after Nobuko unintentionally embarrasses Anna) she was outraged and stormed off to the Oiwa residence in order to lash out at both Anna and her relatives and grew even angrier when she found out Anna wasn't even in the house (unaware that she was hiding behind a wall) and went on a tirade about how Anna was a bad influence as she walked away.

Trivia[]

  • Her name was never revealed.
  • Kiyosama Oiwa doesn't like Mrs. Kadoya to the point were he claims to be "allergic" to the woman and has Setsu deliver to her anything she asks him to build in order to avoid her.
  • Mrs. Kadoya's family seems to be well off economically since her house is considerably fancier than the other ones in their town.
